Corrections may be issued when a published article contains errors that require clarification but do not invalidate the overall findings. Correction notices identify the affected publication and describe the changes.
Retraction may be considered when published findings are unreliable, substantial plagiarism or redundant publication is established, or serious ethical violations undermine the reliability of the work.
An expression of concern may be published when credible concerns remain unresolved and additional investigation is required.
The editorial office evaluates available evidence, manages conflicts of interest, requests appropriate clarification, and follows applicable COPE guidance.
Correction and retraction notices should remain publicly accessible and clearly linked to the original publication. Published records must not be silently altered.
