Allegation of research misconduct

Allegations of Research Misconduct

Child Education Journal is committed to research integrity and responsible handling of allegations of publication misconduct in accordance with applicable COPE guidance.

Types of Misconduct

  • Plagiarism and substantial unattributed copying.
  • Data fabrication or falsification.
  • Duplicate or simultaneous publication.
  • Improper authorship attribution.
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest.
  • Manipulation of citations, images, or the peer-review process.
  • Serious violations of research ethics.

Investigation Procedure

All allegations are initially assessed by the editorial office. The journal examines supporting evidence, manages potential conflicts of interest, and provides relevant parties with an appropriate opportunity to respond.

Where necessary, the editor may consult institutional research-integrity authorities or relevant experts. An allegation alone does not establish misconduct.

Editorial Actions

Depending on the findings, editorial action may include clarification, additional assessment, manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, expression of concern, or retraction.

Reporting Concerns

Concerns should be submitted through the journal's official contact channels with relevant documentary evidence.
