Vol. 8 No. 1 (2026) Integration of Molecular Approaches in Addressing Drug Resistance and Changing Global Disease Patterns

The integration of molecular approaches, genetic surveillance, biomarker identification, and exploration of natural product-based therapies is essential in addressing public health challenges, whether for infectious or non-communicable diseases, in the face of rising drug resistance and changing global disease patterns. This multidisciplinary framework not only strengthens early warning systems for disease outbreaks but also accelerates the discovery of novel therapeutic targets. By bridging molecular diagnostics with epidemiological surveillance, healthcare systems can transition from reactive to predictive and preventive models of care.
