GUIDELINES FOR AUTHOR

1. The manuscript submitted must be original and has never been published elsewhere.
2. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English using Microsoft Word.
3. The body of the manuscript should be written in paper size A4, 1 space, font type Times New Roman, font size 12 pt, and margin 2 cm.
4. Use the EHDJ template for preparing your manuscript (download).
5. The manuscript must be in *.doc or *.rtf format (other formats will be automatically rejected) and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS). REGISTER if you do not have an account yet, or LOG IN if you already have one.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. Articles for EHDJ cover all research in the field of education. The manuscript must be written in Times New Roman, font size 12 pt, 1 space, and paper size A4. The length of the manuscript must be a maximum of 12–15 pages according to our template and written using Microsoft Word in *.doc or *.rtf format.
2. Authors' names (personal or team) are listed with no academic degree, with institution address, and placed under the title of the article. For a manuscript written by a team, the editor only communicates with the corresponding author. E-mail addresses and phone numbers of the corresponding author should be included for easy communication.
3. Articles must be written in English with the following requirements:
   • Title — written briefly and effectively, font size 14 pt, maximum 12 words for Indonesian language articles and 10 words for English articles, and capitalize each word except conjunctions.
   • Abstract — written in English and Bahasa Indonesia (maximum 300 words), containing the objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions.
   • Keywords — words or terms that reflect the article content and are informative (3–5 words), written underneath the abstract with one-line spacing and bold-italic.
   • Introduction (without subtitles) — containing backgrounds, literature reviews, gap analysis, and research objectives.
   • Method — should clearly explain research design, research procedures/frameworks, instrument, data analysis, and relevant modification.
   • Results — contains research findings obtained from research data and is related to hypotheses; this part should be presented in the same part where all data/results should be followed by explanation.
   • Discussion — should contain the explanation of research findings by comparing the relevant literature or research. The research position should be clear whether in line or contradictive to the literature.
   • Conclusion — presented clearly by concluding the research result.
   • Reference — should use a minimum of 80% primary referral sources (international journals) from the last 10 years of publications and be written in APA 6.0 style. Unpublished references are not suggested to be cited. The manuscript should cite at least 10 articles from journals.
4. Referrals and quotations use confined referral techniques (last name, year), e.g., (Miller, 1993). Direct quotations are accompanied by a description of the page number from which the quotation originates, e.g., (Miller 1993: 47), and typed with one spacing, indented 5 taps from the right, with left and right flat margins.
5. Tables and pictures are presented following certain Scientific Writing Guidelines (e.g., Lampung University, 2008) or directly modeled on the manner in which the articles have been published. Indonesian articles use the Enhanced General Guidelines (Depdikbud, 1987). Articles in English use a variety of standards.
6. All manuscripts are reviewed by anonymous reviewers appointed by the editor based on their research interest or field of expertise. The authors are given a chance to make improvements (revision) of the manuscript as suggested by the reviewer or editor. Acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be notified by a letter.
7. The list of references is arranged in the manner of the following examples and sorted alphabetically and chronologically.

Articles submitted to EHDJ will be reviewed by two independent reviewers from our Editorial Advisory Board (double-blind peer review) according to the research interest and scientific field of the reviewers. The article evaluation process will take approximately three months, and the acceptance or rejection decision will be delivered to authors via email. The articles must not be published elsewhere.
