Abstract




Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tiga tempat ketinggian yang berbeda di daerah Banyuwangi, Malang, dan Batu terhadap tingkat poliploidi ikan Trichogaster trichopterus. Poliploidi yang diamati adalah 3n dan 4n. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis penghitungan nukleolus menggunakan teknik pewarnaan perak nitrat (AgNO3). Jaringan yang digunakan untuk menghitung jumlah nukleolus adalah sirip ekor ikan. Sampel menggunakan 30 ikan Trichogaster trichopterus di tiga tempat berbeda dengan 10 ikan berbeda dari Banyuwangi (99 mdpl), 10 ikan dari Malang (982 mdpl), dan 10 ikan dari Batu (1668 mdpl). Analisis data menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis dan untuk mengetahui hubungan di setiap ketinggian digunakan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian tempat berpengaruh terhadap tingkat poliploidi Trichogaster trichopterus. Ketinggian rendah tidak berbeda secara signifikan dari ketinggian sedang, tetapi ketinggian sedang secara signifikan berbeda dari ketinggian tinggi.
