Peer Review Policy

Journal of Health Community Service (JHCS) is published by Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya. All research articles published in the Journal of Health Community Service (JHCS) will undergo a full peer review with the key characteristics listed below:

  • All research articles were reviewed by at least two experts whose qualifications were in accordance with the Double-Blind Peer Review method
  • All publication decisions are made by Editor-in-chief based on comments received.
  • Editorial Board members provide insight, advice, and guidance to the Editor-in-chief in general and to assist in making decisions about the acceptance of the manuscript.
  • The Managing Editor and Editorial Assistant provide administrative support that enables the Journal of Health Community Service (JHCS) to maintain the integrity of peer reviews while ensuring fast turnaround and maximum efficiency for writers, reviewers, and editors.

Peer review of referenced papers

The editorial board of the Journal of Health Community Service (JHCS) will immediately decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions of the referenced papers based on editorial reviews and insights. Additionally, Editor will have the option to look for additional reviews when needed. The author will be advised by the editor when further review and improvement is needed.
