Accounting and Management Journal (AMJ) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. Retractions are published when there is clear evidence that a published article contains serious errors or ethical breaches that invalidate its findings or conclusions. This policy follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
An article may be retracted if it involves:
Proven cases of data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.
Plagiarism or duplicate publication without proper citation.
Ethical misconduct in research or authorship.
Undisclosed conflicts of interest that affect the validity of the work.
Major errors or misleading conclusions discovered after publication.
Legal or copyright violations.
Investigation – The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board review all reported cases. Authors will be informed and given the opportunity to respond.
Decision – Based on available evidence, the Editorial Board decides whether to retract the article, issue a correction, or publish an expression of concern.
Retraction Notice – A formal Retraction Notice will be published in the journal and linked to the original article. The notice will include the article title, authors, publication details, reason for retraction, and the responsible party (author, editor, or institution).
Access to Article – The original article will remain accessible online but clearly marked as “Retracted” to preserve the scholarly record.
Notification – The journal will inform relevant indexing databases (e.g., DOAJ, SINTA) and readers about the retraction status.
If only minor errors are identified that do not affect the overall findings, AMJ will issue a Correction (Erratum). When an investigation is ongoing and outcomes are not yet confirmed, an Expression of Concern may be published.
All retraction cases are handled confidentially, fairly, and promptly. AMJ ensures that all decisions regarding retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern are made transparently and documented appropriately.
